To those who have launched them, the first performance of a chamber music program feels like a testing-ground for all the hard-work, preparation, administrative (read: schedule) juggling, and tireless practicing, in addition to all the efforts by parents, teachers and administrators to make it all come together. Well, today it can be said that those responsible for launching SoundArts have much to rejoice: the chamber ensembles – all duos at this time – performed with great confidence and moments of real artistry. Being one of America's most outstanding pianists, Mark Anderson performs as a soloist with orchestra, in solo recitals, in chamber recitals with his wife and pianist Michelle Mares and The Röntgen Piano Trio and has an active recording career with UK-based Nimbus Records. He currently divides his time as Assistant Professor at University of British Columbia in Vancouver BC and Pleasanton CA where he is committed to ever improving the student experience at New World Music Academy in Pleasanton.
