SoundArts Chamber Music @ NWMA

SoundArts is designed for intermediate and advanced string, wind and piano students who want to develop their ensemble skills and explore the chamber music repertoire. After an interview and audition students will be placed into groups that suit them best musically and will be coached by NWMA faculty as well as special guest artists.

The SoundArts Spring 2020 Session runs from March – May and will offer eight classes. It culminates with a live and video-recorded performance. Interested students can aspire to prepare for ensemble competitions in fall 2020.
In addition, SoundArts is offering coaching for Duo’s (string or wind instrument and piano) that want to explore the Sonata repertoire. These will consist of 4-6 lessons depending on the students’ level of experience.

Students who cannot audition in person should provide a recording of two contrasting pieces (with or without accompaniment) that demonstrates musicality and technique.

Complete the Application Form below.

The tuition for the Spring 2020 Session will be $480 ($280 – $420 for Duos)
