Voice & Chorus Instructors

Cass Panuska

Cass Panuska is a classically trained singer and teacher who is passionate about sharing the gift of music. At New World Music Academy, she teaches Children’s Chorus as well as private and group voice lessons and applies classical technique to a variety of singing styles.

As a professional opera singer, she continues to pursue an active performing career.  Her favorite performed opera roles include Countess Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Miss Silverpeal in The Impresario, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Laurie in Copland’s The Tender Land, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, the Bergère and Screech Owl in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges.  Cass has completed several prestigious vocal training programs, such as Opera at Crested Butte in Colorado and the CoOPERAtive Program at Westminster Choir College in New Jersey.  She performed with the Andrea Fulton Chorale at Yosemite’s Bracebridge Dinner, and has played the role of Gretel in Opera San Jose’s Outreach production of Hänsel and Gretel.

Cass earned her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Colorado State University. After teaching at NWMA from 2009 until 2012, she took a break to start a family. Now with two young boys and a husband who sings with San Francisco Opera Chorus, she is back with us at NWMA and we could not be happier.  Welcome back Cass!
