The New World Music Academy in Pleasanton is now enrolling new students in piano, guitar, strings, woodwinds, brass, drums, music theory, and more for ALL ages and levels. We are committed to creating an entertaining but challenging environment for students of all musical interests. The academy is guided by fundamental educational principles that create a warm, nurturing and inspiring musical environment, no matter the student’s age, level, instrument or style interests. We believe that people, children and adults, learn best in small groups, when interacting with others and challenged by peers. We have created a curriculum and environment in which every student thrives and is encouraged to achieve their potential through positive reinforcement.
Piano classes are formed according to age, level and even gender when possible or advantageous. It takes considerable resources to bring together students of similar age and ability but we find that, through hard work, it is certainly possible. Well-formed classes make efficient working and learning environments – it is our goal to create such environments for all of our students, whether they are enrolled in group or private lessons.
IMPORTANT! Class Piano Evaluations
All piano students who are considering attending the academy and have had lessons elsewhere, regardless of the length of time, must schedule an evaluation with the director. There is no charge for this evaluation however a $20 deposit is secured by phone when the evaluation is made with the front desk staff. One of three things will happen with this deposit: 1) it will be credited to the account of families who decide to continue lessons with New World Music Academy 2) it will be refunded should the family not wish to continue lessons at New World Music Academy or 3) it will be forfeited if the student does not show up for his or her evaluation at the scheduled day/time.
